| Comment | The 14th International Symposium on Cholinergic Mechanisms (ISCM) took place in Hangzhou, China on May 5-9, 2013. It was a tremendous event thanks to Professor Karl Tsim and colleagues. Photos are available on the site (ISCM) Crystal structures of tannase from Lactobacillus plantarum native and in complexes are available (4JUI, 4J0C, 4J0D, 4J0G, 4J0H, 4J0I, 4J0J, 4J0K) and published by Ren et al.. This structure and sequence differs from the sequences of Tannase and ferulol esterase from bacteria and fungi: Tannase. A new family was created: Tannase_Bact. It is closely related to hormone sensitive lipase and Block H enzymes. Crystal structure of the complex of three phase partition treated lipase from Thermomyces lanuginosa with Lauric acid and P-nitrobenzaldehyde (PNB) at 2.1 resolution is available (4KJX) and soon published by Kumar et al. Structure of a methanol tolerant lipase for biodiesel production obtained by directed evolution is available (4HS9) and published by Korman et al.. |
