Type_inhibitor Report for: beta-Lactam

A four membred cyclic amide where the nitrogen atom is attached to the beta-carbon atom relative to the carbonyl. Found in several antibiotic families,(penicillins, cephalosporins, carbapenems,monobactams also called beta-lactam antibiotics. Not target of Alpha/beta hydrolases, but as a simple building block can be used to create inhibitors
