Type_substrate Report for: Alkaloid

Alkaloids are a class of basic, naturally occurring organic compounds that contain at least one nitrogen atom, produced by a large variety of organisms including bacteria, fungi, plants, and animals. The boundary between alkaloids and other nitrogen-containing natural compounds is not clear-cut.
