VITPHE is an information system dedicated to storage, retrieving and analysis of
experimental data coming from different projects and various experimental setups
(fields, greenhouse or laboratory). This work has been initiated by the ANR project
VITSEC and CIVB to study the adaptation of grapevine to water deficit. This project
is based on a multidisciplinary approach (ecophysiology, genomic, genetic) and
several partners are involved (UMR EGFV Bordeaux, UMR LEPSE Montpellier, UMR DIAPC
Montpellier). Data generated by this project is various (molecular data,
genetic data, physiological data, meteorological data) and large (some experiments
are conducted on high-throughput platform).
Because of these amount of data, the multi-user access, we intend to create an
information system dedicated to data analysis and management. This information system
could associate data from various levels of observation (for exemple transcript
expression levels and ecophysiological and physiological data). Such database will
provide a link between the genomic and phenotypic plasticity observed in different
water stress conditions and is likely to be useful for a broad range of plant scientists.
Finally this information system could be a tool used to store data from any experiment
on grapevine which intend to link this kind of data.
