BODIPY493\/503 dye (4,4-Difluoro-1,3,5,7,8-Pentamethyl-4-Bora-3a,4a-Diaza-s-Indacene, Invitrogen) is used to quantify lipid degradation as an indication of lipase gene function. BODIPY dye was used to label the yeast TAGs (triacylglycerol) according to Bhunia et al Aher et al.
