Lawrence Austin was born in 1926 and died in 2000. Lawrie Austin was Reader in Biochemistry at Monash University. Together with W.K. Berry in Porton Down UK he devised the two inhibitors used to distinguish AChE and BChE (BW284C51, Iso-OMPA).
