Willy Lange, Oct. 31, 1900 - May 19, 1976; studied chemistry at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Berlin, Germany. Prepared sodium monofluorophosphate in 1929. Attempts to isolate the free monofluophosphoric acid led to the preparation of some of its esters, in 1932, with one of his graduate students, Gerda von Krueger. They recognized the toxicity of these esters (see: Petroianu 2010)
