Abstract :
BACKGROUND AND AIM: Previous studies have demonstrated that oxidative stress is increased in obese patients. The high-density lipoprotein (HDL) associated human paraoxonase 1 (PON1) can inhibit low-density lipoprotein oxidation and has an antiatherogenic effect.
