Abstract : Monoacylglycerol lipase (MAGL) has been known for its participation in triacylglycerol breakdown and endocannabinoid deactivation. Now Nomura et al. show that cancer cells can hijack MAGL to produce oncogenic lipid messengers. This exciting finding raises important pathophysiological questions. |
