Abstract :
Confluent monolayers of the human hepatoblastoma-derived cell line, HepG2, were incubated in serum-free medium. This medium was harvested and concentrated. Catalytic activity and immunoblotting of concentrated medium revealed the presence of a functional cholinesterase. This cell line may be an useful model for investigating the regulation and physiological role of the enzyme secreted by liver. |
