Itzchak Parnas was born November 11 1935 and died on November 28, 2012. Prof. Parnas was one of the founding fathers of Israel Neuroscience. He worked on neurotransmitter release: the calcium voltage hypothesis, and the effects of presynaptic receptors in the control of neurotransmitter release. Pr Israel Silman gave a lecture tribute to Itzchak Parnas at the XIVth ISCM 2013 in Hangzhou.
