Abstract :

Two new 8-oxoprotoberberine alkaloids (1 and 2), one new isoquinoline alkaloid (8), and a pair of enantiomeric isoindolebenzazepine alkaloids (10a and 10b) were isolated from the vine stems of Fibraurea recisa Pierre. Their structures and absolute configurations were elucidated by spectroscopic methods (mass spectrometry, ultraviolet, infrared, one- and two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance), quantum chemical electronic circular dichroism calculations, and single-crystal X-ray crystallography. All isolated compounds were evaluated for acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activity, with compound 4 exhibiting significant inhibition.
