Similar to Chlorimuron-ethyl, A proherbicide for chlorimuron, it is used as herbicide for the control of broad-leaved weeds in peanuts, soya beans, and other crops. It is an acetolactate synthase inhibitor. Inhibition of Candida albicans acetohydroxyacid synthase explains fungicide action.
