Eric Albert Barnard FRS (2 July 1927 23 May 2018) was a British neuroscientist, and Professor at University of Cambridge. He was educated at King's College London (BSc; PhD, 1956).He died on 23 May 2018 at the age of 90 He was awarded the Thudichum Medal of the Biochemical Society in 2008 for his outstanding contributions to neurochemistry. Among other events he co-organized the second International Meeting on Cholinesterases in Bled in 1984 and the third in La Grande Motte in 1990
