peptide derivative of bradykinine: substrate for angiotensine converting enzymz (ACE), and active Cathepsin A and X/Z/P, endothelin-converting enzyme-1 (ECE-1) and neprilysin. Mca fluorescence is quenched by the Dnp group until cleavage separates them.
