Domain of unknown function (DUF7379). This entry represents a domain of unknown function found towards the N-terminal of CHAT domain-containing protein, such as SwissProt:A0A100JVW6, from Streptomyces scabiei. This domain may adopt a A/B hydrolase fold and is often found in association with TCAD7 (PF19973) and CHAT (PF12770) domains. Upon ingestion by macrophages, Legionella pneumophila hijacks host membrane trafficking by decorating Legionella-containing vacuoles (LCV), thereby escaping lysosomal degradation. L. pneumophila is dependent on the T4SS effector protein RavL (DUF7379) to recruit mitochondria or promote mitochondria association with the LCV, which induces mitochondrial fragmentation and ultimately alters mitochondrial metabolism. RavL is a phosphatidylinositol polyphosphate 5-phosphatase that specifically hydrolyzes the D5 phosphate of PtdIns(4)P
