Malassezia globosa belongs to Malassezia, associated with common skin disorders like dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis (D\/SD). SMG1 hydrolyses diolein but not triolein. The mutant SMG1-F278N with a 6-fold increased enzyme activity than that of the wide type
