Emodin

Emodin is present in the roots and barks of numerous plants (particularly rhubarb and buckthorn), moulds, and lichens. It is an active ingredient of various Chinese herbs. It has a role as a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, an antineoplastic agent, a laxative and a plant metabolite. Not strong inhibitor of ACHE: AChE 53.16 +/- 4.39 percent inhibition at concentrtation of 100 microg/mL. IC50 = 18.37 microg/ml. DPP4 IC50 of 5.76 microM
