Esmolol

ardioselective beta-1 receptor blocker in the heart, which leads to decreased force and rate of heart contractions. Human carboxylesterase 1 isozyme (hCE1) is the main metabolic enzyme in both white blood cells and human liver. Acyl protein thioesterase 1 (APT1) responsible for cytosolic hydrolysis of esmolol in the liver.
