Green leaf volatile (GLV) cis-3-Hexenyl acetate is found in dill green tea and fruit volatiles and contributes to flavor and to defense against biotic stresses. Plant volatile (Z)-3-hexenyl acetate (Z3-6:Ac) Insect intracellular CCE10 SlCXE10(Spodoptera littoralis: Egyptian cotton leafworm), predominantly expressed in antennae of both sexes and associated with olfactory sensilla is able to hydrolyze this plant volatile and to a lesser degree the sex pheromone components
