Benzodiazepin
General
Benzodiazepine is the fusion of a benzene ring and a diazepine ring. Drugs which lower brain activity (diazepam Valium) enhance the effect of the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) at the GABAA receptor. Not A\/B hydrolase targets but some prodrugs are substrates of esterases
