Methylphenidate

Used alongside educational and psychosocial intervention to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and to treat narcolepsy. This drug blocks the reuptake of norepinephrine and dopamine into presynaptic neurons, resulting in increased levels of monoamines active in the extraneuronal space.
